A Seafood Capital of the Philippines, a sea of good native heart of Capizenio. The abundance of marine life makes Roxas City the "Seafood Capital of the Philippines." This environment-friendly city is home to one of the richest fishing grounds in the country. Being a recipient of the Cleanest and Greenest Component City in Western Visayas Award in the Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran (GPK) Cleanliness and Environmental contest is a clear testament Roxas City - Red Orchid Awardee (2011 & 2012) of its people's commitment in ensuring a healthier and brighter future for all its residents and visitors as well. Recently, Roxas City has been a recipient of major awards from various government agencies. This year the Department of Health (DOH) awarded this city with its 2nd Red Orchid Award for being "100 percent tobacco-free." It has also gained the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Seal of Good Housekeeping and lauded the Best Police Station in the region by the Philippine National Police (PNP). You are welcome to experience what Roxas City has to offer through this website. Get a glimpse of its rich cultural heritage, be updated with the latest events in and around the city, and marvel at the unrivaled beauties that God has bestowed upon this city at the heart of the Philippine islands.

These are few of the best places you need to visit when you’re in Roxas City.

BAYBAY BEACH
Baybay beach in Roxas City is the one-stop destination for seafood gourmands to savor the pride of Capiz. It has an array of seafood restaurants that serve nothing but the fresh catch of crustaceans and famous fish favorites such as blue marlin. They have comparably lower prices and they’ll cook your choice of seafood into your liking whether steamed in broth or just simply grilled. Feel the fresh clean sea breeze while dining at Baybay or watch the sun goes down at La Playa de Roxas (People’s Park) nearby before plunging into a dose of seafood fares.

OLOTAYAN ISLAND

Referred to as the “Mini-Boracay” in the City of Roxas, Olotayan Island is approximately an hour boat ride from Banica wharf at Roxas City, this barangay is blessed with serene shores with white sand mixing with corals washed ashore by strong waves, Olotayan beach offers a tranquil and relaxing “out of the city hassles” atmosphere. With clear waters and a rural setting, where sea waves and occasional laughter’s from kids playing at a distance, the place is fit for honeymooners or businessmen who wants to have “a get away” from it all.

MANTALINGA ISLAND

Nearby Mantalinga island which is a kilometer away from the shoreline of Baybay beach has been identified as an ideal diving spot for scuba divers and a perfect rotunda for sailboat (dilayag) and kayaking contests. Recently nicknamed “Good Luck Island” by tourism consultants, the place is believed to be a source of luck for local fisherfolk. They write the names of their fishing boats on the side of the island before they set out to sea for the first time.

about my family

About My Family

A family is the first school in which a child receives the basic values of life. I learns good manners in my family. The morals and values learn in family become our guiding force. They make our character. They lay the foundation of our thinking. I feel fortunate to be born in a family where values are inculcated in early childhood.

My father's name is Regie D. Pedregosa, He is our personal driver. He is a great disciplinarian. He is sincere and hardworking. He always goes to help me on time. My mother's name is Rizza B. Pedregosa, She is a government employee. She is a  Education graduate. She is soft- natured and caring mother. She takes great care of me. She does not care for her comfort for us. She looks after our grandparents. She helps the poor and the needy. She is religious and God-fearing.

Our family is like a heaven. There is peace, prosperity, love and care. The younger have regard and respect for the elders while the elders shower them with their love and affection. The instructions of the elders are followed with great respect. If a member has some problem the whole family is beside him. I am proud of my family.
